Finally, Depo MastHead, a magazine style theme for the free wordpress!

I’ve been ogling for WordPress.com to introduce a magazine style format in their free WordPress blogs.  Perhaps the popular blogging platform couldn’t resist the flood of requests by everyone, to include one Magazine theme into their free WordPress.com version. Depo Masthead, though certainly lacking the full features of a magazine style WordPress.org blog (like the popular Revolution theme) , is a delightful theme free- tasting to the unconvinced free WordPress.com bloggers.

It is here, now. And I grabbed it.

It’s no coincidence though that WordPress.com also introduced the “sticky post”plugin, the same time Masthead was introduce into the free wordpress.com choice of layouts. The sticky post plugin(?) as everyone will agree is best suited for Magazine style blogging themes!

I guess now I have an idea why WordPress gained such popularity among bloggers. Creators and future developers of this blogging platform keep their ears tuned in to the wishes of their users, developing WordPress in that direction and stay off the rigidly limited platform functionalities other CMS is noted for!
