“Leave No Trace” goes blogging rampage.
This week round of my so called blogging rampage!
Bone MD and the Orthopedic Logbook has jumped in on “The DH, Teri Hatcher and ABC TV racial slur” and quoted some very interesting points on this issue. The fact that ABC TV already made an apology doesn’t seen to comfort the obviously irked Filipinos. For one, making surgeons angry by calling them non-scientist and technicians is not only foul but vulgar. The fact that Filipino MDs here (in training) suffer the most grueling “preop hibbyjibbies”, it is not even wise to call them mediocre. And don’t forget, these Filipino subspecialists do get competitive positions and fellowships on strict governing bodies here in the Philippines. So what did you say again Teri Hatcher? You’re not even close the pinky of our left hand!
“Cry in pain but push on”. This seems to be a battle cry for a newbie mountaineer called Bundok. He has been trekking for quite sometime, even climbing Philippines’ highest peaks and some dangerous ones. His spelunking and falls hopping are once in a lifetime experiences! Organizing an adventure race in between was nothing but exhilarating. Is he stopping? Well, just about last week, Bundok went on to river trekking again, this time in Digos, with TAMAC and DAM in the “The Penek Busay”. He narrated another fun filled and exciting trek he joined that pushed again his limits of preparation and experience. Bundok accidentally tripped, went down on a sharp rocky ground lacerating his two knees. But he keep on and made it back- with bleeding knees! No fracture anyway. But he got 3 cds of pictures to live on! So will that make him stop trekking, hell no! In fact, he’s planning to take a plunge in the famous Lake Maughan /Holon in Tiboli this sem break.
That’s why Badminton Geek missed a lot of badminton plays lately because of his gaping knees! And he was sorely missed by his badminton tormentors! So while still nursing a wound, he visited the court and went on smashing shuttle cocks again. Yes, making his wound gape some more, but smiling. Bad Geek has just discovered and been practicing (with some success) the ultimate jump smash. Not perfect but enough to scare out some average receiving shuttle eaters. So wasn’t he the other half of the latest mens doubles intra society champion? Yes he is. And his jump smashes, no matter how imperfect, is simply unstoppable. Even the referee agreed.
On some personal touch, Life’s Fullest made a surgical dissection of one of his oldest blog, and made a face lift of it. Nice. The attraction for writing an online diary of some very personal experiences is all too irresistible. And funny. From messed up friendships, to silent break ups, all part of Life’s Fullest succulent experience. “Something about me…” talks about four of Life’s multiple stalkers (maybe just one after all, in multiple personalities) and the nuances of such annoying, waste of time. It might have seem to fit a page on his psycho consults journals, but hey, taking the funny side of it, is just too hilarious to resist blogging! So read on…
I had a fun filled week, glued to my PC (sometimes laptop) writing all my blogs, in five different blogging interest (to limit scope) but all integrated in one whole personality. Not five but one. That is why I write nothing but footprints…
